Pre-Registration for GECC4130 Senior Seminar – Extension of Deadline
As announced earlier, students who would wish to attend GECC4130 “Senior Seminar” in 2023/24 should complete the required pre-registration with the College GE Office by March 20, 2023. An extension has been made to the pre-registration deadline, to 12:00 noon, March 30, 2023 (Thursday). Students who have not yet formed a complete group of four should submit the grouping assistance form as soon as possible (https://cloud.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/webform/view.php?id=13663661). They will be assigned to a team by the College GE office.
Any late registration after the above extended deadline (i.e. 12:00 noon, March 30, 2023) may not be accepted, and will be processed according to regulations laid down in Chapter 10 of the “Course Introduction” (downloadable from the GECC4130 sub-page under the College GE website).

Pre-Registration for GECC4130 Senior Seminar (Mar 6 - 20, 2023)
GECC4130 “Senior Seminar” is the course under the College General Education Programme required of Chung Chi undergraduates. The course runs in the first semester of every academic year, with its pre-registration and other important preparations carried out in the preceding semester.

Chung Chi GE Upper-year Course (2023/24 Term 1) Hong Kong Heritage Conservation Policy
Course Objectives:
The course features a series of field trips to local monuments, heritage conservation projects, and the study of intangible cultural heritage. Students are expected to analyse the visions and challenges of heritage conservation policy in Hong Kong. Students will have an opportunity of planning and guiding a local tour, as well as conducting research on Hong Kong heritage.
Language:
This course and the study trip involved will be conducted in Cantonese.
Eligibility:
Students in 2023/24:
-In 3rd year of attendance or above (students with normative study period of 4 years or above)
-In 2nd year of attendance or above (students with normative study period of 3 years)
-No constraints to study year (students with normative study period of 2 years)

Course Objectives:
This course helps students understand various kinds of customs, rituals, advance care planning, funeral and burial culture in Hong Kong. It facilitates students to examine life and death from diverse perspectives, build up a comprehensive life value and reflect upon the meaning of life.
Language:
This course and the study trip involved will be conducted in Cantonese.
